buildOn is a non-profit that is creating a movement of young people to better their communities and build schools around the world. I am honored to be their Technical Director for their 2017 events. Pictured here is their 25th Anniversary Gala held at the historic Waldorf Astoria. Hiring and organizing all of the technical vendors, creating and executing the production schedule, and directing the show was a highlight of our fall season. The Gala raised over $3m for this very worthy cause.
The TED Ideas Search 2017 traveled to NYC, Nairobi, and Lagos. It was a chance for TED to find fresh voices to ring out on the TEDGlobal stage. Some of these talks will be posted on the online TED platform; other speakers will be invited to expand on their talks on the TEDGlobal 2017 main stage in Arusha, Tanzania, in the summer of 2017, themed Builders.
From April to June 2012, TED held special salons in 14 cities on six continents seeking to uncover new talents, voices and ideas the world needs to hear. In each city, we worked with local TEDx organizers who have demonstrated their ability to put on powerful events.
Every year Health 2.0 brings together thousands of thought leaders and trend setters in health technologies during their fall conference. From a massive main stage that feature product launches, device demonstrations, panels and keynotes to 7 breakout rooms full of live web demonstrations, Sean Gannet Productions ensures seamless Audio Visual support.
In 2010, Mission Blue took sail in the Galapagos with a mix of 100 policy influencers, leading scientists, artists, innovators and activists onboard. Conceived of as a TED-at-sea, Mission Blue sought to explore the challenges plaguing our ocean.
The Mission Blue II voyage took attendees along the Pacific Equator, from Papua New Guinea to the Solomon Islands, from October 10 to 16, 2015. Mission Blue II featured a full program of TED Talks, with 20 speakers sharing ideas related to the ocean. Eight of these talks have appeared on TED.com so far.
Sean Gannet is proud to be the founding organizer of TEDxGowanus. TEDxGowanus is an event featuring TED-style talks inspired by the unique ideas, stories and arts that have incubated in or are related to the Gowanus area.
The TED Institute recently partnered with the multi-national company Unilever for the event TED@Unilever. Sean Gannet Productions was hired as the technical producer for the day-long event which featured dozens of speakers in the beautiful Cedar Lake Studio and Theater in New York City.
